Annual Chlorine Maintenance of NTMWD Water Delivery System to begin March 4th


Maintenance necessary to ensure quality of drinking water
WYLIE, TX – March 2, 2019: The North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) is preparing to conduct the annual 28-day water system maintenance of its Wylie, Tawakoni, and Bonham water delivery systems. Maintenance will begin March 4,2019 and conclude April 1, 2019. During the water system maintenance, tap water remains safe for use and consumption. Residents who are sensitive to changes in the water may notice a stronger taste or smell of chlorine.

November 11, 1918.

On November 11 of 1918, the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, an armistice went into effect, a cessation of hostilities between the Allied Nations and Germany, ending the “war to end all wars.”

The official end of World War I would not be declared for seven more months, at the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, but the end actually came on that November day, when the truce was signed, the opposing forces laid down their weapons, and the war known as the “Great War” was over.
